Questions

One of the biggest challenges with Father Sheehan and the Archdiocese is that they don't answer our questions. To help everyone...this section is for your questions to Father Sheehan & the Archdiocese. This IS NOT for people to place "their" answer or "what they think is the answer"...this section is for questions only that you would like to have answered...we can send these questions down to Newark.

Specifically, what type of renovations need to be completed at the Palisades Park building?

Where are these renovations plans? (I would like to see them.)

What won't the "administrator" answer our questions?

Why does our "administrator" tell some people one thing and other people another?

What is the time frame for this construction?

How are you going to get all the permits in time?

What happens if the construction is NOT completed on time?

How are we going to fit all the children in only 14 classrooms?

How big are you going to allow the classes to become?

How much are the renovations going to cost?

How are we going to pay for the renovations?

Is Notre Dame going to be "saddled" with the debt?

Who is going to lead our school?

Is ALL of the staff going to have their jobs? (assuming the same number of students are enrolled.)

Notre Dame will not survive on "only" 25% of the rental revenue...So how do you plan on addressing this defiect?

How can we lower the tuition?

How can Notre Dame expand, if it is going to be so cramped?

How will Notre Dame expand?

Why does Notre Dame have to "compete" with another Catholic Pre-School supported by one of its own parishes?

How are the police/neighbors going to handle the additional drop off/(parking) of over 100 small children?

Shouldn't the pastors be more involved INSIDE of Notre Dame? (visits, readings etc.)

Why aren't the parents & parishioners involved in the decisions about Notre Dame?

Will the preschool exist?

Will the preschool be at the same location as other grades or will they be moved to St. Nicolas with Fr. Armando?

Where will the drop off be for the preschool?

Will the school have staggered arrival and departure times to help with traffic?

Parking?

If the litle building does not get rented for the upcoming school year, will it stand empty or will Notre Dame use it until it is rented? (Ridgefield has not yet agreed to the rental according to the Board of Ed)

If the Ridgefield building is NOT rented...where will Notre Dame get the additional revenue it needs (especially if it has the renovation debt)?

Why was Fr. Sheehan permitted to spend $50,000 to repave the parking lot? The money was taken from school funds, bleeding us once again.

I would like to know if there is any updated information regarding registration. I know the deadline is March 16 and I would like to specifically know what families are doing. Are they going to re-register? Will there be enough people next year for us to have a school? I am concerned due to the unfortunate circumstances. Best of luck to all no matter what you decide is best for your children. I just want an idea of what lies ahead in the future. Thank you.

In answer to anonymous dated March 12, I say register. Parents are forgetting that the teachers will be there. They will add to the stability next year. Let's not forget them. Do we want all these fine teachers out of jobs, too, after all their years of sacrifice and service to our children? They will have to carry on the Sister"s legacy. By the way, are people giving up? Your letting Father Sheehan win. Register.

Who says which teachers will be staying? It is well known that Father wants to get rid of a few...can you trust what he says? Who says the teachers will be able to work with the new principal?

What are people worrying about "registraring"...you act like the school is going to be sold out. It won't be, because of the number of people leaving.

Let Father "win"? by registraring...HE DID WIN. He got exactly what he wanted...the rental money and he got rid of the nuns that (had the nerve) to stick up for him. If he reinstates the nuns, people who I trust, then I'll registrar. The things Father is doing is wrong and it is going to affect our children's future (and Notre Dame's accreditation...like not having certified teachers!)
