I just wanted to post the rules of this "Blog"
We, the members of our Catholic Community, will use this site to help save Notre Dame and Sister Pat & Sister Ellen who operate the school. If you do NOT support us, please do not post here.
Please do not use foul language.
Please do not insult others.
Please never threaten anyone or threaten to damage anything.
No rumors or gossip...just the facts so we can make proper decisions.
There is no such thing as a "dumb" idea, an idea may not work now...but you never know about the future...we are here to brainstorm...you never know what might work.
All posts are considered our personal opinions.
Never blame the parishioners...in a way, we are ALL parishioners...we want their support.
We LOVE Notre Dame and that's why we are here.

I was a long-time student at St. Michael's School (then Notre Dame) from kindergarten all the way up until my 8th grade graduation in 1995. I am now about to turn 26 years old and will be getting married in St. Michael's Church on May 19th, the same Church where I went through all of my other sacraments, just as my parents did before me. I grew up in Palisades Park, and the town has changed very much since my parents were young, but St. Michael's is still a very important part of the neighborhood. St. Michael's School merged with St. Nick's and St. Matthews in Ridgefield right before I graduated in 1995 and took on the name of Notre Dame. It was a change that many of us were reluctant to accept and very hesitant about, but it turned out to be a very good thing. I am not quite clear on the details of this new possible merger of schools but if it means that the current Notre Dame will no longer have classes there, it would be a very sad day for the school, the Church and the town. I pray that it does not happen and that one day I can send my children to school there. It was a wonderful experience for me and I loved all of my teachers and sisters and priests.
Thank you for the opportunity to voice my thoughts on St. Michael's and Notre Dame.
